If you're comparing Dripify with other tools, you probably have a few practical priorities: follow-ups that go out even when the week gets busy, an email step when an invite goes unanswered, and careful handling of your LinkedIn account. You may already be on a Dripify trial, wondering whether a Dripify alternative could do the same job for less.

The short answer: Active Manager and Dripify work the same way. Both are cloud-based and priced per seat, with a 7-day no-card trial and the same email-finder allowance. The main difference is price. Active Manager costs $20 less a month on each comparable plan.

Dripify is the better choice if you need HubSpot or an API on the entry plan, an AI icebreaker, Outlook sign-in for email, or access in the EU. If you want the core LinkedIn and email sequence for less, with automatic warm-up for new accounts, Active Manager is worth considering.

## Dripify pricing compared with Active Manager

Both tools charge per seat, and each seat connects one LinkedIn account. Five reps need five seats with either tool. Here are the published per-seat prices from [Dripify's pricing page](https://dripify.com/pricing/) and [ours](/pricing/):

| Plan | Dripify monthly | Dripify annual (per month) | Active Manager monthly | Active Manager annual (per month) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pro | $79 | $59 | $59 | $39 |
| Advanced | $99 | $79 | $79 | $59 |
| Top tier | Enterprise, custom | Enterprise, custom | Scale, talk to us | Scale, talk to us |

Active Manager prices are in USD, plus tax.

### What a year costs one founder

Suppose you handle your own sales and run one LinkedIn account for twelve months.

| Plan and billing | Dripify | Active Manager | You keep |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pro, paid monthly | $948 | $708 | $240 |
| Pro, paid annually | $708 | $468 | $240 |
| Advanced, paid monthly | $1,188 | $948 | $240 |
| Advanced, paid annually | $948 | $708 | $240 |

The difference is $240 a seat in every row, because Active Manager costs a flat $20 less a month.

### What a year costs a team of three

Three reps on Advanced, billed annually, cost $2,844 a year on Dripify and $2,124 on Active Manager. That's a difference of $720.

This isn't quite a like-for-like comparison. Dripify's Advanced plan includes team management: roles, a team dashboard and shared templates. With Active Manager, three Advanced seats are three separate accounts. Team workspaces come with Scale, priced on request. If your reps work their own leads, the $720 saving holds. If you need a shared dashboard, compare Dripify Advanced with a Scale quote.

### Same price, different extras

The plans include different features, too. Dripify Pro ($79) includes the inbox, HubSpot, Open API and an MCP Server. Active Manager Pro ($59) covers core automation, while the inbox and webhooks are on Advanced. If you need the inbox, compare Dripify Pro with Active Manager Advanced: both cost $79 a month. At that price, Active Manager adds A/B testing and webhooks; Dripify adds HubSpot and its API.

### Trial, credits and refunds

The trials are almost identical. [Dripify's trial](https://help.dripify.com/en/articles/5036158-how-long-is-the-free-trial) lasts 7 days, requires no card and includes Advanced features. At the end, you choose a plan or the account goes inactive. Active Manager's trial works the same way: 7 days, no card and Advanced features. When it ends, campaigns pause and nothing is charged.

The included email-finder credits match, too. Both include 100 a month on Pro and Advanced, with no roll-over. Both use a credit only when a verified email is found. Extra packs carry the same prices on each (1,000 for $29, 2,000 for $49, 5,000 for $69 and 10,000 for $99), but Dripify sells them as one-time packs, while Active Manager's are monthly add-ons. If you only need extra credits now and then, Dripify's packs cost less.

Refund terms differ. Active Manager offers a full refund if you ask within 14 days of your first payment. Dripify's pricing page doesn't mention refunds, and [some Trustpilot reviewers report](https://www.trustpilot.com/review/dripify.io?stars=1&stars=2) being refused one after cancelling late in a billing cycle.

## Safety: how each tool protects your LinkedIn account

Both tools run in the cloud, so your laptop can stay closed. "Campaigns run on our servers," as [Dripify puts it](https://dripify.com/pricing/). Both also offer an optional Chrome extension for connecting LinkedIn if you'd rather not share your password.

The differences are in the details.

**IP address.** On paid plans, Active Manager gives each LinkedIn account a dedicated residential IP in your country. It stays with the account for as long as it's connected and is never shared with another active account. Dripify offers a dedicated IP, "a consistent IP address tied to your account, in your location". The pages we read don't specify whether it's residential or data-centre, so we can't compare the two directly.

**Warm-up.** Active Manager starts a new account at low daily limits, then raises them week by week until they reach the limits you set: about 20% of your chosen limit in week one (around 15 invites a day at a 75 limit), reaching 100% around week 5. There's nothing for you to manage. Dripify's help centre [recommends a manual ramp](https://help.dripify.com/en/articles/12821791-how-to-set-up-your-dripify-limits-safely-and-efficiently): beginners start at 10 to 15 invites a day and add 10 to 20% a week. On Advanced, [Activity Control](https://help.dripify.com/en/articles/10260714-what-is-the-activity-control-feature) adjusts daily limits to the account's history.

**Daily limits.** Here the tools match. Dripify's [preset caps](https://help.dripify.com/en/articles/5030376-how-many-connections-requests-and-messages-can-i-safely-send-with-dripify) allow up to 75 invites a day, and 100 messages a day on basic LinkedIn or 150 on Premium. Active Manager lets you choose a daily limit per action up to the same numbers: 75 invites a day on any LinkedIn account, 100 messages a day on free LinkedIn or 150 on Premium or Sales Navigator, and 30 Sales Navigator InMails. Active Manager has no weekly invite cap of its own; LinkedIn's weekly invitation limit, typically around 100 invitations a week, applies with either tool. Active Manager varies the daily numbers slightly from day to day.

So volume isn't the deciding factor. The honest differences are that Active Manager's warm-up is automatic and its per-account residential IP is documented.

**Timing.** Both spread actions across your working hours at random intervals. Active Manager sends in short sessions, does less at weekends and pauses automatically if LinkedIn shows a security check. Dripify documents a ["cooling down" mechanism](https://help.dripify.com/en/articles/6220171-cooling-down-the-process-as-a-safety-mechanism).

An important caveat applies to both: no automation tool can promise that LinkedIn will never restrict an account. LinkedIn counts all your activity, including invites you send by hand, so keep your outreach inside one tool.

## Email in the same sequence

Both tools let you combine LinkedIn and email steps in one sequence. A typical flow looks the same on either:

1. Send an invite with a short note.
2. Wait three days.
3. If connected, send a message.
4. If not, find their work email, and if one is found, send an email.

The difference is which mailbox you can send from. Dripify [connects Gmail or Microsoft Outlook](https://help.dripify.com/en/articles/11056519-what-email-providers-are-supported-by-dripify) by signing in, with other providers "on our roadmap". It also offers a [domain setup checker](https://help.dripify.com/en/articles/16941605-domain-setup) for SPF, DKIM and DMARC.

Active Manager sends from your own mailbox using SMTP/IMAP, the standard settings most email providers publish, so you aren't limited to two providers. Gmail works with an app password. Outlook and Microsoft 365 aren't supported yet. If your company runs on Microsoft, Dripify is the easier choice here.

Tracking also differs. Active Manager tracks sent, replied and bounced emails, but not opens. Dripify's [features page](https://dripify.com/features/) says it tracks open and reply rates.

On Active Manager, a reply on LinkedIn or by email stops that lead's sequence in every campaign. That means no cheerful follow-up the day after someone has already answered you.

## Leads, sequences and the inbox

In day-to-day use, the tools are close. Both have a visual builder with conditions such as "if connected" and "if email available"; Dripify's also include if open profile and if message viewed. Their actions overlap almost entirely, from invites and InMails to endorsements and withdrawing old invites. Dripify also offers unfollow. Here's how Active Manager's [sequence builder](/product/#sequences) works.

**Lead sources.** Active Manager lists 11 and Dripify lists 9, with considerable overlap. Active Manager adds people who viewed your profile and leads from another campaign. Dripify can pull your own followers. Both offer evergreen lists that keep adding new matches (Dripify's on Advanced).

**Personalisation.** Both use variables with fallback text for empty fields. Dripify offers 20+ variables, up to 50 custom lead fields and an AI icebreaker. Active Manager uses profile fields and CSV columns, and lets you preview each message before it sends.

**A/B testing.** Both allow up to 3 variants on Advanced. Dripify's [version, labelled beta](https://help.dripify.com/en/articles/16071414-a-b-testing-beta), also covers invite notes, emails and InMails.

**Inbox.** Dripify includes its inbox on Pro. Active Manager's inbox starts on Advanced and shows LinkedIn replies from the leads it manages, alongside each lead's campaign, tags and notes.

**Duplicates.** On Active Manager, a lead can be active in only one campaign at a time. You can also skip people you're already connected with.

## Where Dripify is the better choice

Dripify offers several things Active Manager doesn't. Depending on your needs, any of these could settle the decision.

- **You need CRM or API access on the entry plan.** Dripify Pro includes native HubSpot, an [Open API and an MCP Server](https://help.dripify.com/en/articles/16772911-dripify-integrations). Active Manager offers HubSpot and its API only on Scale.
- **You manage a team and want a published price.** Dripify's Advanced plan includes roles, a team dashboard, quick login to team accounts and shared templates. Active Manager's team workspaces are on Scale, priced on request.
- **You want AI-written icebreakers.** Dripify has an AI icebreaker variable. Both tools can improve a draft with AI: Dripify's ["Improve with AI"](https://help.dripify.com/en/articles/17060910-how-to-improve-your-messages-with-ai) can polish, shorten or restyle a message at no extra cost, and Active Manager's message improver rewrites a draft on request while keeping your variables. Active Manager doesn't write icebreakers.
- **Your email runs on Outlook or Microsoft 365.** Dripify connects it by signing in. Active Manager can't connect it yet.

There are two more practical differences. Dripify is available in the EU; Active Manager isn't. Dripify also has a public track record: 4.7 on [Trustpilot](https://www.trustpilot.com/review/dripify.io) from 539 reviews as of October 2026. Active Manager is new and has no public reviews yet.

## Where Active Manager is the better choice

- **You want the same core workflow for less.** Each seat costs $240 less a year, whichever plan and billing cycle you choose. The trial and included credits are the same, so the saving is real.
- **You'd rather not manage a warm-up yourself.** A new account starts low and rises week by week automatically, up to the daily limits you choose. Those limits match Dripify's.
- **You want to know what your IP is.** Each account gets a dedicated residential IP in its country, never shared with another active account.
- **Your mailbox isn't Gmail or Outlook.** Any provider that offers SMTP/IMAP works for email steps.
- **You want a written refund window.** If the first month doesn't work out, ask within 14 days of your first payment for a full refund.

## The verdict: when Active Manager is the right Dripify alternative

Choose Dripify if you need HubSpot or an API without talking to sales, team management at a published price, an AI icebreaker or Outlook sign-in. It's also the choice if you're in the EU or a long public review history matters to you.

Choose Active Manager if you want LinkedIn and email sequences that follow up on time, within your working hours and daily limits, for $20 less a month per seat. It suits founders and small teams who'd rather not manage a warm-up by hand and don't need a CRM sync on day one.

The simplest test is to try both. The trials have the same terms, so you can run one real campaign on each and compare. Active Manager's trial lasts 7 days with no card. Campaigns pause at the end without charging you, and you can cancel anytime. Our [FAQ](/faq/) answers questions about limits, billing and setup.
